• Use the lowest effective dosage for the shortest duration consistent with individual patient treatment goals.
• Individualize dosing based on the severity of pain, patient response, prior analgesic experience, and risk factors for addiction, abuse, and also misuse.
• So initiate treatment with 15 to 60 mg every 4 hours as needed.

Contracdications

TOSEINA should not be administered to patients who have previously shown hypersensitivity to codeine or any other component of this specialty.
Do not use in case of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, respiratory depression and attacks acute asthma.
Do not administer to children under 2 years of age. It should not be administered in case of diarrhea associated with pseudomembranous colitis caused by cephalosporins, lincomycin or penicillins, or also diarrhea caused by intoxication until it has eliminated toxic material from the gastrointestinal tract.
